Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Supervise and manage daily drilling operations and rig activities.
• Ensure implementation of well control procedures and safe work practices.
• Plan and oversee rig moves, crew activities, and operational execution.
• Act as the company representative on-site, maintaining coordination with the client and Drilling Superintendent.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to rig crews.
• Enforce safety policies, regulatory requirements, and company management systems (QHSE, DOP, SM).
• Lead emergency response, including well control, evacuation, and incident management.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure training compliance for all personnel.
• Ensure all rig equipment and systems operate within safe and optimal parameters.
• Oversee inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Maintain inventory control of assets, consumables, and materials.
• Maintain accurate operational records, logs, and reports (including IADC reports).
• Monitor budget, resource utilization, and documentation compliance.
• Ensure proper communication and handover between shifts and departments.
• Support well planning activities including casing, cementing, and drilling calculations.
• Monitor downhole conditions and ensure appropriate operational responses.
• Interpret technical data, gauges, and reports to optimize drilling performance.
• Oversee camp standards, medical support, communications, and living conditions on site.

Minimum Requirments:

• Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• A valid IWCF Certificate, (Level 4).
• 8 years of experience.
