Legal Manager

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Lead and manage the Legal Department, ensuring efficient operations, optimal resource utilization, and delivery of timely, high-quality legal services aligned with business priorities.
- Provide proactive, practical, and business-oriented legal advice to management and business units, escalating material or high-risk matters to the General Counsel where required.
- Oversee litigation and dispute resolution processes, including managing external counsel, monitoring case progress, controlling costs, and driving effective outcomes.
- Direct the drafting, review, negotiation, and administration of contracts and transactional documentation to ensure enforceability, consistency, and minimal exposure to risk or disputes.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, while proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating legal risks across the organization.
- Support and implement corporate governance frameworks, upholding high standards of ethics, transparency, and accountability.
- Develop, review, and enforce legal policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure consistency, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, external counsel, and key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with company strategy and regulatory expectations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the legal team, driving high performance, capability enhancement, succession planning, and addressing training and competency gaps in coordination with HR.
- Conduct legal training and awareness programs for employees to promote understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and ensure delivery of legal services within agreed timelines, maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and business alignment.
- Drive strong contractual integrity and governance standards to safeguard the organization’s legal and commercial interests.
- Contribute to performance management processes, ensuring departmental objectives and KPIs are achieved.
- Exercise sound professional judgment and adaptability in handling evolving business needs, including undertaking special projects and ad-hoc assignments as delegated by the General Counsel or senior management.
Minimum Requirments:
- Bachelor’s degree in law or equivalent.
- 10 years of experience.
