Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities :

 

  • Drive the formulation, governance, and continuous refinement of Abraj’s corporate strategy, considering internal capabilities and external market, economic, regulatory, and socio-economic environments.
  • Lead the annual and multi-year corporate planning cycle, ensuring full integration between strategic priorities, financial planning, capital allocation, and operational plans.
  • Oversee the development, cascading, execution, and periodic review of corporate and business unit strategies to ensure vertical and horizontal alignment across the organization.
  • Establish and implement a robust strategy and corporate planning management framework to enable effective planning, execution, monitoring, and performance review.
  • Translate corporate strategy into clearly defined strategic initiatives, roadmaps, and investment priorities with clear ownership, sequencing, and valued drivers.
  • Ensure alignment between corporate strategy, budget development, and resource allocation decisions across all business units and functions.
  • Oversee enterprise-wide strategy execution using appropriate tools, methodologies, and governance mechanisms.
  • Design and oversee a comprehensive corporate performance management and review process, including organization-wide KPIs, scorecards, and performance dashboards to enable timely course correction.
  • Provide analytical insights on strategic initiatives, performance trends, and plan execution to support informed executive, management, and Board-level decision-making.
  • Lead ongoing research and analysis of industry, market, competitive, and socio-economic trends to identify opportunities, risks, and emerging threats, translating insights into actionable strategic recommendations.
  • Drive scenario planning, stress testing, and strategic option analysis to support executive and Board decision-making under uncertainty.
  • Facilitate and steer strategy and corporate planning review forums, portfolio reviews, and executive discussions to assess progress, dependencies, and value realization.
  • Establish governance mechanisms for prioritization, approval, and tracking of strategic initiatives, transformation programs, and major investments.
  • Design, maintain, and monitor corporate performance dashboards and management reports to track progress against strategic goals and KPIs, enabling data-driven decision-making
  • Monitor strategic benefits realization and ensure planned outcomes are achieved, escalated, or recalibrated as required.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders across the organization to develop and deliver long-term strategic plans aligned with Abraj’s corporate priorities and growth ambitions.
  • Safeguard the active participation and alignment of shareholders, executive leadership, and key internal and external stakeholders throughout the strategy and planning lifecycle, in coordination with the CEO.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee Abraj’s corporate sustainability and ESG strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Lead sustainability assessments, reporting, and performance monitoring, and manage sustainability policy due diligence across all business units.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence, embedding sustainable performance practices and adherence to quality and excellence standards.
  • Constructively challenge organizational leaders to drive action-oriented improvement initiatives and enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and continuous maturity of Enterprise Risk Management and Business Continuity frameworks to support strategic objectives.
  • Act as a key advocate for a strong risk-aware culture that enhances organizational resilience and supports the achievement of short- and long-term goals.
  • Ensure organizational preparedness for disruption and long-term sustainability through proactive risk, resilience, and continuity planning.
  • Support inorganic growth, strategic partnerships, and major investment decisions through strategic fit assessment, business case development, and value creation analysis.
  • Provide strategic oversight and alignment input to corporate communications, marketing, and brand initiatives to ensure consistency with Abraj’s strategic positioning and objectives.

Minimum Requirments:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, or any related fields.
  • 10 (Ten) years of experience.
