Description: 

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Support the Unit Manager in implementing and maintaining Corporate, unit-specific, and Client HSE programs, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices, in coordination with the HSE Department.
  • Assist in the implementation of all safety initiatives, HSE advisor tasks, unit KPIs, and continuous improvement programs, including active participation in unit movements and special projects.
  • Conduct and support risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), hazard hunts, and site inspections; review and comment on JSAs prepared by others and verify that safety controls are effectively implemented.
  • Monitor and verify compliance with Permit to Work (PTW), Energy Isolation (LOTO), Road Safety, Camp, and Site Safety systems, including internal self-verifications, audits, and inspections as per defined schedules.
  • Actively engage with site crews to improve safety culture through toolbox talks, daily HSE meetings, inspections, audits, incident investigations, and participation in Abraj’s SoLOOKi reporting program.
  • Support and participate in incident and accident investigations, monitor close-out of NCAs and corrective actions, and maintain accurate HSE statistics, reports, and regulatory records, including daily field reporting to Head Office HSE.
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver HSE training, inductions, and awareness programs for employees, contractors, visitors, and service personnel; manage training matrices and ensure 100% completion of required HSE training.
  • Monitor and verify HSE documentation, competence, and compliance of third parties and contractors at site.
  • Ensure Emergency Response Plans (ERP) are maintained, displayed, and effectively executed; assist in emergency response activities, rescue coordination, and hygiene inspections in collaboration with MEDICs.
  • Provide professional guidance on HSE regulations, internal policies, control measures, and occupational risk identification, supporting the organization in preventing harm to people, property, and the environment.

Minimum Requirments:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Business Management, or any related fields.
  • NEBOSH certification is mandatory. 
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience.
