Assistant Manager - Finance

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Supervise and manage the accounting team, including Team Leaders, Senior Accountants, and Junior Officers.
- Oversee the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records, including general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Review and approve financial statements and management reports.
- Monitor compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Manage fixed asset accounting, including acquisition, depreciation, and disposals.
- Ensure proper accounting for accounts payable and receivable.
- Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of financial data in ERP systems (SAP).
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.
- Handle tax-related accounting matters in coordination with the Finance Manager.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Finance Manager.
Minimum Academic/ Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent with 8 years of experience.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent).
