Description:
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Perform all duties safely and professionally in accordance with company and HSE standards, ensuring completion of daily inspections and records.
- Assist the Driller in all drilling operations, including drilling ahead, making connections, tripping pipe, and running and cementing casing.
- Operate and supervise drilling equipment such as drawworks and other rig floor systems when required and under supervision.
- Prepare BHA, trip sheets, and rig floor equipment for drilling, tripping, and casing operations.
- Supervise and coordinate rig crew activities, including organizing work for special projects and ensuring effective shift handovers.
- Monitor mud systems and oversee solids control and mud mixing operations to ensure efficiency and well control integrity.
- Support maintenance and repair of drilling and non-drilling equipment, ensuring preventive maintenance programs are followed.
- Assist in training and development of rig crew, ensuring clear communication of company procedures, HSE requirements, and operational instructions.
- Conduct Toolbox Talks, safety meetings, and ensure all tasks are performed safely to protect personnel and equipment.
- Maintain accurate operational records, logs, and reports, including drilling data and equipment performance.
- Apply technical calculations such as ton-miles, drill string/BHA measurements, and preparation of kill sheets, demonstrating well control awareness.
- Ensure compliance with company management systems (QMS, HSE) and timely completion of required communications and training.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support safe, efficient, and continuous drilling operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- General education diploma with 6 years of experience.
- Valid IWCF Level (4).
